WBKR Yard Party Friday Benefits Boulware Mission, Loaded with 4th of July Prizes

For more than a decade, WBKR Yard Parties have helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for nonprofits across the tristate while shining a spotlight on causes that matter in our communities. This one may be our BIGGEST yet!

Join us on Friday for the WBKR Yard Party, sponsored by Rhoads & Rhoads, where the Champion Concert Car will be packed with giveaways celebrating America's upcoming 250th anniversary. We'll have chances to win VIP festival passes, premier concert seating, fireworks event tickets, and family four-packs to one of the region's biggest rodeos.

The event also benefits Boulware Mission, an Owensboro nonprofit that has spent nearly 105 years helping men rebuild their lives through recovery, reentry, and restoration. Grab lunch, enter to win, and help support a great cause.

WBKR Yard Party Set for Friday, June 26 to Benefit Boulware Mission

Support Boulware Mission at the WBKR Yard Party on Friday, June 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the WBKR lawn at 3301 Frederica Street in Owensboro.

This fundraiser is a fun and affordable way to support one of the oldest nonprofits in our area, one that directly serves and supports men in our community as they work to rebuild their lives.

Box lunches are $10 and include a hamburger, chips, a side, and a drink. All proceeds go directly to Boulware Mission.

Pre-orders are due by Thursday, June 25, no later than 3 p.m.

Delivery is available within Owensboro city limits for orders of five or more meals.

Nearly 105 Years of Changing Lives

Boulware Mission has been serving Owensboro and the surrounding area for nearly 105 years, helping individuals develop the life skills needed to become self-sufficient, contributing members of the community.

The organization's work focuses on recovery, reentry, and restoration. Their mission is to empower individuals with the tools they need to rebuild their lives and successfully return to the community.

Boulware envisions a community strengthened by the contributions of restored citizens, and generations of local support have helped make that vision possible.

The organization recently shared its gratitude with the community, saying, "Owensboro, we are incredibly grateful. Thank you for nearly 105 years of support, generosity, and belief in the Boulware Mission. We couldn't do this without you."

The Champion Concert Car Is Loaded for America's 250th Celebration

As part of Champion Ford's "Employee Pricing" celebration of America's upcoming 250th anniversary, the Champion Concert Car will be loaded with tickets to some of the biggest Independence Day celebrations in the tri-state. Champion Ford has long been a strong supporter of local nonprofits, veterans, community organizations, and events throughout the region, and thanks to their partnership with WBKR, Friday's Yard Party will feature some incredible prizes:

• VIP armbands to Madisonville's 4th Fest & Praise in the Park. It's a massive three-day America 250 Celebration expected to draw 40,000+ visitors, with a lineup including ALL-4-ONE, Color Me Badd, The Sugarhill Gang, The Band Perry, and more, plus fireworks following the July 4 concert.

• Premier seating for the 12th Annual Sparks in the Park at Beaver Dam Amphitheater, featuring The Kentucky Headhunters on Saturday, July 4, with fireworks after the show. (Table tickets available, while they last!)

• Tickets to Owensboro's 4th Fest, presented by Kentucky Legend, with terrace views of the Ohio River fireworks, unlimited access to inflatables and attractions, and premium rides.

• Family four-packs (an $80 value) to the Lone Star Rodeo in Henderson, featuring bull riding, barrel racing, chuckwagon races, and rodeo clown Mighty Mike Wentworth, plus kids' contests before the show.
