For more than a decade, WBKR Yard Parties have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for nonprofits across the tristate while bringing attention to causes that matter in our community. This week’s Yard Party, sponsored by Rhoads & Rhoads, will benefit New Beginnings, and you’re invited to grab a meal, support a great mission, and be part of the fun. Let’s make it a great day!

Cookout Fundraiser for New Beginnings

One of the biggest yard parties of the year is back, and the weather couldn’t be better for it!

Join us this Friday, June 5th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 3301 Frederica Street in Owensboro for a Cookout Fundraiser benefiting New Beginnings.

For just $5, you’ll get a box lunch with a burger, chips, water, and a snack. They'll be cooking and serving until everything is gone, so getting there early is always a good idea!

Want to skip the wait? Call 270-926-7278 by June 4th to pre-order your lunch. And if you’re feeding a crew, they’ve got you covered! Delivery is available for orders of 5 or more in the Owensboro area, making it easy to treat your office or team.

New Beginnings Mission

New Beginnings provides free, accessible healing and support for survivors of sexual violence, offering compassionate care tailored to each person’s needs. Their work also includes prevention education for students and the community to help stop sexual victimization before it happens.

With licensed therapists, trained victim advocates, and medical and legal support, they walk alongside survivors every step of the way. As a nonprofit rape crisis center serving the region, they rely on community support, grants, and donations to continue this vital work.

Every single lunch helps support New Beginnings and the survivors they serve!
