Brad Logsdon, and his girlfriend Jessica Westerfield, were on a motorcycle when they were hit by an oncoming vehicle after attending a concert in Beaver Dam. Both suffered injuries and are still on the mend. Fundraising efforts are underway to help the families.

I know this intersection all too well. While crossing this same intersection a truck hit my vehicle and crashed it into a building. I'm talking about the light at 4th and Breckenridge in Owensboro. It's such a dangerous intersection, especially on a motorcycle. On the way home from a concert on May 27th, 2023, Brad and Jessica were broadsided by a man who ran a red light going 50+ MPH. They were both ejected off the motorcycle, causing numerous injuries. They're lucky to be alive. Accidents involving motorcycles like this are happening far too often. Whether the driver of the vehicle is distracted, driving recklessly, or failing to yield the right of way, around 75% of car/motorcycle accidents are caused by the vehicle driver.

According to MIGHTY, more than 80% of the time it will end in serious injury or fatality. Even though they only represent 3% of all vehicles on the road, motorcycles account for 10% of all traffic fatalities.

Luckily, Brad and Jessica will completely recover.

Praying for both of you. I'm a biker also. And it is definitely a miracle you both were not killed. - Leon Williams

"If everyone could please keep their prayers rolling in for our girl Jessica Westerfield. She finally got out of the hospital on Sunday and is now back in because of an infection. Things were going well and now this. She really could use some positive thoughts and prayers right now. It would greatly be appreciated. We love ya and we’re all here for you. You got this."
