The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra is going Bond. This Saturday and Sunday the orchestra under the direction of Maestro Alfred Savia, will be playing the themes from James Bond films. Cool!

I have been a fan of that music since first I saw "Dr. No" in 1962, the first of the James Bond films starring the one and only true James Bond, Sean Connery.

Many of the themes were composed by the late John Barry who also wrote the score for "Somewhere in Time", one of the all-time great soundtracks.

The orchestra, with Hilary Kole performing vocals, presents two shows - one Saturday night at 7 and Sunday afternoon at 2 - both of which interfere with my drinking time so I will be unable to attend. But, if you go, enjoy!
