Carrie Underwood's 'Blown Away' picked up an early 2013 Grammy Award for Best Country Song during Sunday's pre-telecast ceremony, where 70 Grammys were handed out and songwriters Josh Kear and Chris Tompkins were on hand to accept for their country smash.

The masterminds behind the hit single from Underwood's 2012 album of the same name were modest in accepting the trophy, both thanking their wives and Kear giving a shoutout to the songstress herself for making the tune he penned with Tompkins such a success.

Hoping to give songwriters behind hit songs an extra nod, Kear added before he left the stage, "None of this happens if we don't sit down and create something out of nothing." Kear and Tompkins are also credited with writing Underwood's 2008 Grammy winner, 'Before He Cheats,' among many others.

The Best Country Song Grammy Award followed Best Country Duo/Group Performance, which went to a very gracious Little Big Town.
