Okay, we think all animals are beautiful in the sense that they serve a glorious purpose in the circle of life but some of them are not so aesthetically pleasing. Here are 10 that we thought weren't so cute.
Whether you are having a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad day or things look pretty great for you, this compilation of cute babies, puppies, kitties, grandmas and other cute stuff will make your day!
This may sound rather random. But I have two confessions of love to make. #1- I love my CNN app. #2- I love my cat, Oprah. But on Saturday morning, a story on my CNN app made me look at my cat Oprah and "Hmmmmm???" Yes, I stumbled across a story about a Toledo, Ohio woman who says that her cat licked her and then she went blind in one eye. Is this possible? Is Cat Scratch Fever a real thing? Holy Furballs, Batman (or Catman)! It appears so.
Every now and then, we come across a situation that is almost too tough to talk about and this is one of those. The Posey Humane Society, in addition to the PC Pound Puppies, really need your help. Between last Friday night and Saturday mornng, they jointly pulled 81 dogs from one residence.
The other day I looked out the patio door and saw Ellie trying to power-jump the tree in the backyard. They say "white men can't jump" but this white dog has pogo sticks for legs. I had no idea what she was doing until I realized she had treed an innocent and defenseless baby bird. The bird was perched on the bark and in no immediate danger, so I decided to grab my iPhone and film Ellie's leaps and bounds. I don't mean to brag, but this dog is really cute and oddly athletic for her size and stature. Well, my plans to video and capture this adorable glimpse of nature nearly turned into a snuff film when the bird made an ill-advised run for it.
Have you been thinking about adopting an animal? Well, this is the weekend to finally do it! It's National Adoption Weekend and there are plenty of puppies, kitties, dogs and cats that would love to find their forever home!
This is pretty incredible. WBKR sales associate Bill Eidson was sitting on a patio bench at his home Saturday afternoon when he heard something hit a window in his house. He quickly realized that a hummingbird had flown into the window and knocked itself unconscious. In fact, the little guy fell right there on the patio. So, Bill (channeling a little Dr. Doolittle) went to work and tried to revive the hummingbird. And, you know what? It worked! Here's how he did it!
One of my best friends grew up in Louisville and never missed the Kentucky Derby. He went every year he lived there. And he always did the infield. Naturally, that's where we find Jaclyn this afternoon.
This dog is hilarious. My latest rescue, Ellie, is a Bichon Frise. And here's what you need to know about that particular breed of dog. They are full of energy when they need to be, but they LOVE to sleep. And Ellie will actually sleep right on her back in someone's lap. The other day I filmed her when she plopped down in my lap and fell into a trance. So sweet and so funny.
