Okay, I can't ignore this anymore. This cat's face has two distinct halves. When I first saw a picture of "Venus," I thought it was Photoshopped.
I cannot wait to do this! And...I absolutely CAN wait to do this! But I will do it. You see, I'm not the world's biggest fan of bats.
I am so excited. Today, I get to pet the rabbits, George! Pet the rabbits, George! And I get to milk goats, eat Krispy Kreme hamburgers, get a Pineapple Whip, hang out with beauty queens, ride carnival rides and more
My cat Oprah loves to sit in the window and look outside. But, 0ne day last week, her view was obstructed by a GIGANTIC bug. Honestly, I have never seen anything like this. And, apparently, Oprah hasn't either and she wasn't about to stand for it.

This is so sad. Mesker Park Zoo announced yesterday that "with heavy heart" they have to euthanize Donna the Hippo today. At 60-plus years-of-age, Donna is the oldest hippopotamus living in captivity. But, over the last few months, her quality of life has declined siginificantly and Mesker officials were forced to make a painful decision. Today, Wednesday, August 1st, 2012, Donna will go to sleep for the last time. But she leaves behind generations of adults and children who marveled in wonder at her playfulness and spirit. In case you never got to see Donna for yourself, here's some video captured by some folks who became instant fans when they got to meet her.
