The Opry Goes Pink This Weekend

Saturday night is a very special night at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.  As you likely know by now, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Opry is again celebrating with an amazing, star-studded line-up.  This morning, on The WBKR Waking Crew, Moon and I chatted with my good friend April Hyde, who gave us all the scoop about how the Opry will "flip the switch" pink this weekend.  She also taunted Moon with news that Martina McBride would be the person doing the honors.  Take a listen . . .

Chad & Jaclyn Drag Race in Motorized Shopping Carts! [Video]

Wednesday, Jaclyn and I celebrated Grocer's Day at Houchen's IGA on 25th Street in Owensboro.  In fact, there were American Cancer Society teams at every Houchen's location in the area selling pink ribbons for ACS' breast cancer research programs.  WBKR is a proud supporter of the American Cancer Society and its two primary fundraisers each year, Relay For Life and Making Strides.  So, naturally, Jaclyn and I volunteered to visit Houchen's and bag groceries for charity.  But, because we are the poster-children for ADHD, we got completely distracted and hotwired the motorized carts.  Let the drag race begin!!

Dave Spencer Plays Monopoly Underwater at Dive Center Charity Event [VIDEO]

A few weeks ago I was taught how to dive by my friend, Danny Hinton, who is a divemaster at Blue Meridian Dive Center on Hwy 81 in Owensboro. Last Saturday, I got to exercise my newfound skills at the Center for a charity event called Underwater Monopoly--I'm the one in the white WBKR t-shirt. That's right, I got to pass "Go" and collect $200 several feet under water.
