Florida Georgia Line Sell Out Lexington, Kentucky Show in 23 Minutes

Florida Georgia Line announced the dates –without cities or locations—of their Here's to the Good Times Tour last week, with only one city and location confirmed. As Chad and discussed Wednesday, that one announced date was October 19 at the Whitaker Bank Ballpark in Lexington. Whoa, well Friday showed it's gonna be a huge tour since all 10,718 tickets sold out in a record-breaking 23 minutes after going on sale!!

The Worst Remake of “Freebird” Ever [Video]

Quiz!  What's the first song someone shouts out if the lead singer of a band asks for requests?  Yep!  "Freebird."  Happens everytime, without fail.  And, thankfully, not everyone gives into the temptation to cover one of the most iconic songs in the history of recorded music.  But, these folks did.  Remember the short-lived 80's group Will To Power?  They actually went a step further and recorded a version of "Freebird."  And, quite honestly, it may be the worst version of that song EVER!  (Of course, I say that and I actually bought their debut album on cassette.  Don't judge me!!)   So, what do you say?  Why don't we relive it?  LOL!  I found the video on YouTube . . .

Gospel Legend Kirk Franklin Coming to The Ford Center in Evansville [Video]

"For those of you that think gospel music has gone too far.  You think we got too radical with our message?  Well I got news for you , you ain't heard nothin yet.  And if you don't know . . . now you know. Glory, Glory!"  That's the opening line from my favorite Kirk Franklin song ever.  And, glory glory,  the gospel-music legend is coming to The Ford Center in Evansville.  I got an email about the show today and was immediately on YouTube pulling up the video for "Stomp."  Love this song!  Check it out!

Hayley Beth Qualifies for Battle for The Big O Finals [Video]

Jaclyn and I had a hunch we should lower the age limit for The Battle for The Big O!  And 13-year-old Hayley Beth from Hancock County showed up at our round one auditions Saturday at Trunnell's Farm Market and proved, instantly, that we made the right call.  Check out her version of Maggie Rose's song "Better."  This kid is GREAT!

Muhlenberg County is gonna be proud of these guys.  The band Boys of Broad came to Trunnell's Farm Market on Saturday to audition for The Battle for The Big O.  And, they made it through the first round and have qualified for the big finale, Saturday, August 24 at Diamond Lake.  Check out their audition and see how Boys of Broad qualified for the main event!
