The 2012 WBKR Road War was Saturday night and hundreds turned out to try and win $1,000 in the "scariest road trip in town." Each year, the Road War sends our contestants on a wild and wholly goose chase through Owensboro-Daviess County and this year was no exception. But when the night came to its close, one team prevailed and the self-proclaimed BKR Babes (Jenelle Carter, Ada Willett, Cindy Kercheval, and Ronda Reynolds) missed the total mileage for the race by just one-tenth of a mile and claimed the $1,000 grand prize. Here's the official solution to this year's race. If you competed, take a look and see how well you did! If you've never competed before, check it out and see what kind of fun you're missing!
Road Warriors!! The "Scariest Road Trip in Town" isTONIGHT and it's your chance to win $1,000.00 in our annual city-wide road rally. Here's how it works. Round up your friends and come to our official starting line . . . LEWIS LANE BAPTIST CHURCH! You can sign in anytime between 5pm and 6pm CST. At the starting line, we'll give you a list of clues that guide you along our mystery course. Along that course, you'll come to checkpoints and get more clues that eventually lead you the finish line. There, the team that followed the clues most closely will win $1,000.00! So, what do you think? Are you ready to be a Road Warrior? Then read on for our official rules and to see our instructional "how-to" video . . .
Here's my last "treat of the day" for y'all to win tickets to Holiday World's Happy Halloween Weekends!

The WBKR Road War is coming up Saturday, October 20th. Each year, hundreds turn out for our Halloween-themed "amazing race" across town in hopes they can claim the grand prize of one thousand dollars! And, each year, some folks wanna know . . . "What the heck is The WBKR Road War?" So, Jaclyn and I decided that we would again film an instructional video. We grabbed clues from last year's race, hijacked the WBKR van, fired up the video camera and let er rip. Wanna play our game?? This will show you how it's done! WATCH! This is pretty hilarious . . .
It's another day of our Holiday World Happy Halloween Weekends Trick or Treat Giveaway. Today my treat is a little far-fetched, but who's surprised?!?

Just once, okay? Just this one time, I'd like to get a pair of these that actually work. I don't get it. I would think that if they got wet enough, they'd be fine and I wouldn't get all that headache-inducing racket. But I would wrong, it seems.
