A lot of our old family Christmas decorations have vanished. And it's been a VERY long time since I've seen a ceramic Christmas tree like the one we always kept in the living room during the holidays. I'm glad they're back.

Some good friends of mine got to watch the filming of Stripes, starring, Bill Murray. It began shooting in Louisville 40 years ago this month.

If you looked high in the sky this morning you may have noticed something special. Back in December of 2019, the City of Owensboro announced the return of the US Navy Blue Angels Demonstration Team. They'll perform in August of 2021 at the Owensboro Air Show.

"Owensboro on the Rock" was a local American Bandstand-type show hosted by Kirk Kirkpatrick. It aired in the mid-70s and was taped at an old roller rink called United Skates of America.

Burger Queen was a fun part of my childhood. Then it became Druther's. We used to live down the street from one, but now they're all gone except for the one in Campbellsville.

Some of our old Daviess County Schools are gone. Some are repurposed. Some are still going strong. And one is still there, standing empty.
