Racers For Ryan Event Saturday

Twenty-one year old Ryan Peters was killed tragically in an accident at Windy Hollow Speedway September 8th. The racing community as well as the Tri-State area has offered an outpouring of support to Ryan's friends and family during this difficult time.

Saturday, October 19th... YOU can also show this family support by coming to Racers for Ryan! This is a great event planned at TowneSquare Mall in Owensboro and it sure to be a great day to celebrate Ryan's life and raise a lot of money!

Theatre Workshop of Owensboro Presents Steel Magnolias

I saw the movie version of Steel Magnolias twenty-something years ago and I can still quote lines from it.  One of my favorites . . . "Ms. Truuvy, I swear to you that my personal tragedy will not interfere with my ability to do good hair."  LOL!  I have a feeling a lot of folks in the audience will be reliving their favorite lines when Theatre Workshop of Owensboro presents Steel Magnolias.  The three-week run starts this Friday and we have your showtimes and ticket info!

New Beginnings Sexual Assault Support Services is asking for your help.

New Beginnings offers confidential crisis and long-term therapy services to sexual assault survivors of all ages, as well as their family and friends. All services are provided free of charge. They are based in Owensboro with offices in Owensboro and Henderson serving Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union and Webster counties in Kentucky.

"Laundry of Love" is a great way for you to help out recent victims.

Local Musician Advances To Quarterfinal Round Of Drumoff

I'll just start this by saying that I may be a little bias about the guy I'm going to tell y'all about... Chris Lee. Chris is from Owensboro and just happens to be a fabulacious drummer! (Yes, I made up a word, ha!) I know this because I've heard Chris play hundreds of times and he plays in my band too! Turns out, I'm not the only one who thinks Chris is great...

The fine folks at Guitar Center in Evansville passed him thru to the quarter-final round of their national drum-off competition! So now, he's heading to Indianapolis!
