3rd Region and All "A" State Champs the Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces play their first round game in the KHSAA Girls Sweet 16 Basketball Tournament Thursday at 12:00pm. OCHS (24-7) will take the Lincoln County Lady Patriots out of the 12th Region, who come into the tournament with a 27-5 record.

February 27, 2013 Get a load of this kid! She thinks she is so TOUGH! Cydney Payne is the daughter of WBKR receptionist Roxianne Payne. And, last week, she was strutting around the office in her karate uniform and her little yellow belt thinking she was all Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan. So, I decided to go Ralph Macchio on her and teach this wannabe ninja a thing or two about martial arts. Except . . . it didn't play out that way at all. What I discovered is that she could royally kick my booty! WATCH!

She is one of five finalists in a National Anthem contest sponsored by one of our sister stations in Evansville, WJLT. We have featured Skylar here at WBKR.com before and recently invited her to perform at our 2013 Denim & Diamonds fundraiser for St. Jude. This kid has some massive pipes and we want to help her win the contest so she can rock out "The Star Spangled Banner" at the Ford Center.
February 24, 2013 It was a good type of game to win. Kentucky was playing a good Missouri team that was trying to prove it could beat a team on the road that wasn't woeful Mississippi State (7-19). But in the meantime, Kentucky was trying to prove that it could beat a team that was going to the NCAA Tournament.
