I feel like we've been here before.  I feel like I have made this confession before.  But I have to own up again.  Ya'll know I love Kelly Clarkson, right?  I am a huge fan of her voice, her personality and her music and she's really the only reason I started watching ABC's talent search, Duets.  That said, she's NOT the reason I keep going back.  Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles is.  Not only does Jennifer have the best contestant on the show (J Rome), but she is consistently showing the most range and versatility with her own voice.  Yes.  On this show (doomed as it is), Nettles is absolutely running away with the thing.  Her duets with the show's front-runner, J Rome, are just spine-tingling.  Check out last week's highlight . . . a chilling rendition of "I Will Always Love You."

There have been some terrific performances already this season on America's Got Talent.  We've had sensational, unexpected show-stopping moments from the likes of Andrew De Leon and the usual, quirky, but hilarious moments like the one offered up by Twiggy the Water-Skiing Squirrel.  But last week, during the final audition round, we were treated to a truly Olympic moment, when Mary Joyner, the daughter of Olympic champions Florence Griffith and Al Joyner, took the stage and showed the world her gold-medal worthy talent.  No, she doesn't run.  She SINGS!!  And she is brilliant.  WATCH!

Uh oh!  I am is SO much trouble.  Apparently Oprah doesn't take too kindly to people who name their pets after her.  Case in point . . . 50 Cent, who recently sat down to chat with O on Oprah's Next Chapter.  In the interview, Oprah asked "Fiddy" if it is true he has a dog named after her.  Immediately uncomfortable (like he was about to be kicked out the book club), 50 Cent squirmed in his seat, shifted his eyes away from Oprah like he had just piddled in the floor and she was holding a rolled up newspaper, and then made the confession that his schnauzer was christened with the same name as the former queen of daytime TV.  WATCH THIS!!  Oprah doesn't seem very flattered . . . at all!  In fact, she acts like she just stepped in a big pile of schnauzer poo.
