And The Next Bachelor Is… Or At Least Should Be… Country

I've been a fan of ABC's The Bachelor for many, many years. Judge me if you want, but I think the show is completely entertaining. Sure, there haven't been many success stories to come out of the show, but I just can't seem to turn away. I'll be honest, I have stopped watching this season. No offense, but I'm kinda ready to move on to next season and I won't be explaining why. (My Mom always taught me that if I don't have anything nice to say, well, you know the rest, ha!)

While talking to Roxianne the Receptionist at work today, we've decided that The Bachelor needs a little country in it. So, we started brainstorming some possible guys to fill that rose... ugh, I mean that role. First, we needed criteria. Once that was set, the guys were slated. Well, do you agree with who we think should represent country music and be the next Bachelor?

Pink’s Performance of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” at the Oscars was Amazing! [VIDEO]

I don't normally last very long watching the Oscars. I like to check out what everyone's wearing and after a good 30 minutes or so, I normally cut out. But, last night I was really interested. Not because I had seen any of the nominated movies, I mean films, but because I love Ellen (she was hosting) and I wanted to see that girl who voiced Elsa from 'Frozen' sing "Let It Go".

I will say, I loved the show! It was really entertaining! Know what my favorite part was? It was hands-down when Pink sang "Somewhere Over The Rainbow".  It was perfect and completely effortless.

In case you missed it, I found the video of her performance. You're welcome.

With the Winter Olympics well underway, there is a lot of talk about the different events, like figure skating. A couple weeks ago, Chad and Jaclyn demonstrated their pairs figure skating, and it seems another celebrity wanted to demonstrate his figure skating ability the other night on the Tonight Show with it's new host Jimmy Fallon.

On Thursday night's episode of the late night show, Will Ferrell was a guest and wanted to

Another WBKR Battle for The Big O Finalist Goes Deep on American Idol [Video]

In 2013, two former Battle for The Big O finalists made it deep into American Idol.  Owensboro's Jenny Beth Willis was one of the show's Top 20 girls.  And Paul Jolley, who was a finalist in our competition two years ago, made it all the way to the Idol Top 10 and spent the summer on tour with his fellow finalists.  This season, yet another contestant with ties to our annual talent competition is poised to make a run deep in the show.  Check out Brandy Neelly, who last year joined our auditions at Towne Square Mall and power-belted her way into the finals.

The nominees for the ACM's were announced Wednesday morning. Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw lead all nominations with seven a piece!

I am SO excited about my girl Miranda being nominated for Entertainer of the Year. It's been a long time coming! There are a couple of surprises that really caught my attention! (I had no clue Sheryl Crow was even considered country, much less a female vocalist of the year possibility?!?)
