Like the rest of Big Blue Nation, my heart beat and blood pressure returned to normal after the final buzzer last night. While I'm thrilled that Big Blue is back in the Final Four for the second time in as many years, I have to tip my hat to the Fighting Irish. Not only is Notre Dame a quality basketball team that pushed the Cats to the limit, but the team and Coach, Mike Brey have been through a great deal off the court throughout the NCAA tournament. The morning before Notre Dame's second round victory over Butler, Brey was informed  his mother had died  of a heart attack. Coach Brey's ball-club rallied  around him  beating Butler, Wichita State, and were within a heartbeat of ending UK's pursuit of perfection.  While there is no doubt I will be on the edge of my seat when the Cats take on the Wisconsin Badgers next Saturday, as a proud Irishman I must tip my cap to Notre Dame.
