Christmas Wish Tree Up for Bid At Gaylord Opryland’s Hall of Trees

Gaylord Opryland in Nashville continues its charitable holiday tradition known as the Hall of Trees.  It's a really cool collection of fully decorated Christmas trees that are up for grabs to the highest bidder.  This year's forest of trees is located inside the hotel's new holiday village, the Holly Jolly Town Square.  And, for the first year ever, WBKR has a Christmas Wish tree in the display!  And you can place your bids for it online in hopes of winning the tree and all the presents that go along with it.  Check it out!

 How awesome is this tree?  It was designed and decorated by David Hamilton of Lake Charles, Louisiana.  David so happens to be the brother of Sally Davenport, our amazing Christmas Wish coordinator from the Telecom Pioneers.  The WBKR/WOMI Telecom Pioneers Christmas Wish program wouldn't exist without her and our amazing Christmas Wish tree wouldn't exist without her brother.  I have seen every single tree in this year's edition of the Hall of Trees and ours is one of the most beautiful.  David is THE MAN!

And, here's the really cool thing about these trees that are up for bid.  If you are the high bidder for the tree you want, you not only receive the tree just like it's displayed, but you get all the presents that come along with it.  And Sally, Jaclyn and I wrangled up some really cool goodies to go with ours. 

Since David went with a red and green color scheme, we decided to give our gift list a John Deere country flavor.  We first have to extent a HUGE "thank you" to Wright Implement of Owensboro, who donated a John Deere bicycle to our collection.

In addition to the bike, we have a toy John Deere barn and a miniature John Deere tractor autographed by Jason Aldean!!!  How freaking cool is that?

And, that's not the only autographed country swag we have under our Christmas Wish tree.  We also have a the denim shirt that Josh Thompson wore in his "Beer on the Table" video and it is signed by the 2011 Taste of Country star!

We also have a portable DVD player, some great holiday videos and toys!  Plus, we have a country collection of CD's, including one by our very own Jaclyn Graves!
