Darius Rucker Wasn’t Hootie, Just a Blowfish

For years I thought Darius Rucker was the leader of the band, Hootie and the Blowfish. Now, we find that even though he co-founded the group, guitarist Mark Bryan was the boss. All Darius did was sing. Rucker told CMT.com,”To be honest with you, when I was with Hootie, I was a singer . . . that’s all I did. I didn’t put together the shows.  I was a singer in Mark Bryan’s band.  So I just showed up and sang”.

Now, of course he is out on his own having huge country hits like, Wagon Wheel. And, today his new CD, True Believers, comes out.

Here are the other releases today. George Strait – Love Is Everything (MCA Nashville) and Trace Adkins – Love Will… (Show Dog – Universal).
