Dolly Parton Announces “Showcase Of Stars” Concert Series Returning to Dollywood [VIDEO]

Last week, there were posts referring to a "big announcement" from country legend Dolly Parton. Well, there were two. One, she'll be playing four shows at her own park in August, and two, she now has an official website/archive dedicated to all things Dolly.

Here's the announcement of the return of the "Showcase of Stars" concert series from Dolly herself.

This will be the first time in ten years Parton has performed at Dollywood. The singer will perform two shows on August 8-9. Proceeds from the concert series will go to support Parton's Imagination Library which has provided more than 70 million books in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Also coming later this summer, Dollywood's DreamMore Resort will open. Room bookings will begin August 18th.

Dollywood opened for its 30th season last Friday.
