Erin’s 2014 Summer Playlist
When I think of summer, I think of two things: sweltering humidity and dance music. There is no better feeling than cranking the beats and rolling down the windows. When I feel a good beat, I start moving and I can't stop. And I don't care where I am. Hopefully, these songs will make you a dancing fool too. Let's dance!

Fancy *Explicit version*
Iggy Azalea feat. Charli XCXWhen I was told to come up with a summer playlist, I automatically wrote this one down. Realistically, this is the song of the summer of 2014, deal with it! And the video is a spot-on tribute to the movie Clueless, I love it.

Jumpin', Jumpin
Destiny's ChildIf I could, I would include more Destiny's Child. Yes, I love Beyonce', but I miss her girl group. This track just makes me smile, oh and dance.

Evacuate The Dancefloor
CascadaHere's my first European dance music entry, German-British act Cascada. They also had a big international hit in "Everytime We Touch", but this one is far superior, at least I think

Barbra Streisand
Duck SauceI first heard this track on an episode of 'Glee'. Rachel was feeling down about something, and the scene took place at the local mall. Her friends cheered her up by reminding of her inspiration. This was one of the rare times on 'Glee' where just a song played with no one covering it.

Marry The Night
Adam LambertIf you want Lady GaGa, just hold on. This track is from another 'Glee' episode. Former 'American Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert started guest starring as Starchild, and this is the song he auditions for Kurt and Santana's band with. I would never dare say a track is better than the original, but Lambert comes close to accomplishing it here.

Umbrella
Rihanna ft. Jay ZOh does this one bring back memories! A couple of summers ago, a friend was house-sitting and the house had a pool, and she invited me and some other friends over, etc. All I remember is one friend out of the blue sang "You can stand under my umbrella.." Ella-Ella-Eh-Eh-Eh! You know you just sang that.

Dancing On My Own
RobynThis is a song it took a while for me to discover. Luckily, it started popping up on TV, on either the first or second episode of the HBO series 'GIRLS'. And Robyn did perform the track on 'Saturday Night Live' three years ago. Love!

Gotta Get Thru This
Daniel BedingfieldFrom 2001 (?!?) pop singer Natasha's big brother broke through on the charts in a big way with this infectious hit. Though he's better known for his ballad, "If You're Not The One", I obviously prefer the dance track.

Don't Go There
24-KOkay, now we are going even further back, to 1995. I went to see 'Dangerous Minds' with some friends at the Mall Cinema in Hartford, which is now referred to as "Sticky Floors", oh and the description is accurate. Soon after seeing the movie, one of my friends bought the soundtrack, and we drove around and we hit repeat on "Don't Go There" I don't know how many times.

Poker Face
Lady GagaWell, we end with some Gaga. I can't believe it's been five years since this bizarre lady entered the the worlds of pop culture and pop music. "Poker Face" is one track that stands up today, well, all of her tracks stand up, but this one is just so good and it's so dance-worthy.
