The Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade, billed as "Where Kentucky starts Christmas" is THE largest Christmas parade in the area and is the second largest parade in the entire state of Kentucky, second only to the annual Pegasus Parade in downtown Louisville, which is held annually leading up to the Kentucky Derby.

Our Christmas parade has been a tradition for decades. It dates all the way back to the 1930s and has a storied history here in town. If you grew up here. you likely have fond memories of standing on the sidewalks, trying to collect candy as it was thrown from floats, handing your annual 'wish' letter to one of the elves walking up and down the streets and, of course, waiting for Santa to show up and close out the parade. The Owensboro-Daviess County Christmas Parade is magical and the 85th installment is just over a month away.
