Okay, so it's very hot and humid going into the weekend, however, be aware of possible fire hazards, such as this one I saw on a South Frederica median the other day.

Full disclosure, we are NOT under a fire warning/burn ban right now. The high humidity and possible rain moving through is keeping those conditions at bay or are they?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the beginning of the above fire were maybe caused by a disposed cigarette. What I didn't know is that mulch can catch fire very easily. Here's a study about mulch and the different kinds from the University of Nevada.

As for the situation pictured above, when I crossed over to Towne Square North, I did hear a fire truck siren, the potential fire was out when I crossed back over Frederica to Salem Drive.
