Jeremy Clarkson's contract for the popular BBC TV show Top Gear, will not be renewed in the wake of the "fracas" between him and producer Oisin Tymon.  The BBC says with deep regret they have chosen not to renew his contract.

The "fracas" was apparently followed by some verbal abuse.  This was apparently due to there not being any hot food prepared for the crew after a day of filming.

BBC's Director General, Tony Hall has spoken and says with deep regret, the company will not be renewing his contract for 2016.

Top Gear was one of the biggest shows in the world and during a short interview with Co-Presenter James May on his doorstep, May seems annoyed more than anything.  He doesn't come directly out to say whether or not he would be staying with the television program or not but is asked who would he be okay working with when it comes to a replacement for Clarkson.

James isn't very happy about the whole ordeal and does admit even though he doesn't agree with some of the things Clarkson has done in the past, he still enjoys working with him.  They are a package on the show and without one of them on the program.... it's not going to be the same thing.

Talk about an incredible show this is.  Honestly I RELIGIOUSLY watched this show and when it comes down to those destination Top Gear Specials,  you can't beat entertainment like that.  You can't have a favorite episode to this show because there isn't anything that you don't like about it.  It's hilarious, entertaining, strangely informative and if you're a car guy like me..... It's a pretty damn good show.

BBC's Director General Tony Hall has said that with deep regret they are letting Clarkson go.  He also says that the priority is to learn how to bring the show back in good shape in 2016.

He goes on to say that the show will be "very different."

this is what we call an understatement

Hall does realize what this decision could mean for the BBC and their viewership.  He loves the show and how well the show has come along.  And I'm sure he realizes that if he makes James May and Richard Hammond work with a DIFFERENT host.... it's going to be a disaster.

Having said that.  I don't believe that James and Richard would even go through with having a new host to this show.  Perhaps they would go to another station and begin a new show with Clarkson as host.... Just a thought.

We'll miss ya Jezza
