Just got off the phone with Kenergy, and they are asking us to "reduce use" this afternoon between the peak hours of 4PM and 7PM.

It is an extremely hot day, and the possibility of brown-outs is real with everyone cranking up the air conditioners creating a real risk for overload.

So the suggestion was made that we consider eating something for dinner that doesn't require cooking. Or maybe you could use the grill.

Saving household chores that require dishwashers or washer/dryers until later is also a good idea.

Plus, it was recommended that we wait until after 7 to take showers.

I took heed and ran home during a commercial break and pumped my thermostat up 2 degrees.

I appreciate Kenergy giving us the reminder. The last thing we need right now is an outage and the inability to use the AC.

Can you imagine?
