High school sweethearts Chelsea and Daniel Boling have always called Hancock County home. Now they have an adorable little duo running around the house with two-year-old Dani who is "spunky and full of sass" and loves her "bubba."  That Bubba is better known as Easton, a very active and very sweet 4-year-old. Easton has Autism and his mama told me "It’s a part of him just like his beautiful blue eyes and infectious smile."

Chelsea was inspired to share Easton’s journey and their journey as his parents, so others know they are not alone. "I started a nonprofit last year along with a couple of other moms of children with Autism called Autism Advocates of Hancock County. With this came a support group that changed my life. I didn’t know how much I needed it until we started meeting and I felt seen for the first time since I started on this journey." Chelsea is an incredible writer as well and has launched a new website called Anything But Typical.

I asked Chelsea what she wished people knew about children with autism like Easton. She said, "My son is nonverbal, but that doesn’t mean he is non-feeling or non-understanding. He knows more than he lets on and sometimes he uses that to his advantage like when he knows I hid the cupcakes on top of the refrigerator so he secretly climbs up there to eat the icing off of them"

As mentioned above, Easton is very active. He enjoys all things climbing, jumping, and most of all swinging! So much so that his awesome parents installed a swing in their living room. This helps "check those sensory boxes" for Easton so he can focus his energy on having fun and training for a potential future in the Olympics. OK, I don't know if that's actually something he'd aspire to, but he sure could with these gymnastics skills! As you can see in his video that has now gone viral on Tiktok with over 2.5 million views.

He looks like such a sweetie, and I bet there is never a dull moment with him and his precious sister. Chelsea is an amazing mama, "I love so many things about being Easton’s mom. I love that he doesn’t fake anything for anyone. He is genuine and true to himself at all times — something that usually takes years to people to acquire if ever at all. I love that he is the happiest person I know. His smile lights up a room and he brings joy to so many. I love that he has taught me to slow down, enjoy life, and celebrate every victory."
