I am always on the lookout for nice getaway spots. Either for fun girls' trips with my Fabulous Ladies Reading Club or places to relax for a weekend with my boo, Michael. Recently, I came across a retreat that checks either one of those boxes and what do you know? It's right here in Kentucky. What is "Glamping?"

Have you ever heard the term "glamping?" I think it's an amazing idea and actually kind of funny. I love to camp and be outdoors, but there are definitely some things I don't love about "roughing it." Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, finding a comfortable way to sleep on the ground, and let's get real, the bathroom situation is not usually great. With "glamping," you don't have to worry about any of those inconveniences and there are so many more perks that you'll see as you scroll.

Called "a 5-star hotel in the woods," eight beautifully designed safari-style tents are each equipped with a queen bed, a full bathroom, a TV, WIFI, a little kitchenette with refrigerator, a coffee machine, a table, and a sofa.

A private back deck is perfect to enjoy your coffee or read a good book. I want to fill this gorgeous bathtub with a bunch of bubbles, soak, and listen to the sounds of nature all around.

Exploration and Rejuvenation in the Pines

If you want to immerse yourself in the stunning scenery, trails for hiking and exploring surround the campsite. There's nothing like quality time in the great outdoors to reinvigorate your mood and relieve stress. And speaking of relieving stress, when you return from that hike, Nine Pines Retreat offers a big barrel sauna to warm you up and restore achy muscles and joints.
