Yesterday when we were at the St. Louis Cardinals game, of course, the first thing we did was scope out the food situation.

Buy Me Some Peanuts and Cracker Jacks

If you've ever been to Busch Stadium, you know that there is a huge variety of delicious snacks and drinks that it can be hard to choose what to get. You can get stir fry at Asian Action Station, a St. Louis BBQ brisket sandwich, loaded tots and nachos, shrimp tacos, and soooo much more.

That's not even mentioning the desserts! Ice cream, Dip & Dots, and donuts are served in baseball helmets which we all know makes them taste even better. There is a stadium concession guide that can help decide what to get, but I have the perfect recommendation.

Hot Dogs & Home Runs

My favorite thing to get at the baseball game is a good ole hot dog. The last time we were at Busch Stadium, I got a bacon-wrapped hot dog with all the fixings on it. So juicy and topped with peppers and onions, pickles, and beans (if you want) which I thought was interesting.

I found the best hot dog in the place yesterday before the Cardinals took on the Phillies on a misty rainy day. I had no idea that a St. Louis staple had a booth at Busch, but it was like a light shone down from the heavens when I saw the sign for Kohn's Deli and the "Monster" Pastrami.

Kohn's Kosher Deli in St. Louis

My cousin, Rachael, lives in St. Louis. She always likes to take me to restaurants that are special to the city because I love to try new things. Founded in 1963, the metro's only kosher deli and market has become a household name near and far because they happily ship their products across the country.

The deli offers all kinds of piled-high sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts, but they are famous for their pastrami.

Since they are so popular, it only makes sense that they serve up the goodness at St. Louis Cardinals baseball games. Their sandwiches, dogs, and potato salads are the stars of the scaled-down menu. Here I am waiting in anticipation while they make my hot dog.

With a kosher beef dog, grilled onions, a tangy mustard, and sauerkraut, none of which you can really see because of the massive amount of pastrami on top.

Oh MAN, it was delicious! I don't know that I've ever eaten anything so fast. Chad got the pastrami sandwich on the traditional rye bread and cleaned it up quickly too. The next time you're in St. Louis head to Kohn's for lunch or check them out if you go to a Cardinals game.
