Marietta Tiger Navy – I Thought It Was Me But It Wasn’t

Back in high school I used to row crew... every time I say that around the office it sounds weird and I get made fun of.  This story should help out a lot.  Over Christmas vacation my father and I stopped in at Applebees in Marietta to get a couple brewski pops and I saw this picture.

The picture is an aerial shot of a crew boat in the middle of a race down the Muskingum River in Marietta.  There used to be a picture of my boat on that exact wall and my teammates and I were slaying our opponents... they obviously took that one down and replaced it with this one.

There was an older woman sitting at the table where the picture was and I politely asked if I could take a seat with her for a second and snap a picture of that photograph.  She said of course and I snapped a quick shot and stood up.  She said "Do you know someone in the picture?"  I said well sort of and pointed to the front of the boat and said "That's Me!" She thought it was pretty awesome and I went back to the bar.

Ten minutes later I looked at the picture and zoomed in on what I thought was the back of my head... turns out Applebees replaced the picture of my boat with the ladies team and ditched my picture in the trashcan or something. I thought something was funny when I saw all of those pony tails in the boat.  Dad and I got out of there pretty quick.
