Marietta Tiger Navy – My Rowing Team In High School

Over the last few days I have been made fun of intensely.  Yes I was on the rowing team in high school and it was the coolest sport I have ever played.  It was family and it was fun, grueling and competitive.  Crew was the greatest. 

I have to first off thank my right hand man, Aaron Watkins for keeping these pictures for as long as he has.... it's been years.  Aaron... you're the man and thank you so much for making this article a reality.

So here we go with the pictures. 

This is Aaron first off.  He was top notch.  I stole all of these pictures off of his facebook page so thank you for that Watkins... (Only he will get this... WAKNNNNS.... GOOO LUCK THIS WEEKENND)  This was Brett when headphones and American Eagle necklaces were awesome. 

This is not a race... this is basically us rowing to the start line... There wasn't a court... there wasn't a field... there was a body of water. 

Seriously... Watkins... Davis and Wharff.... How bad are we?  That was the up and coming three right there.  Watkins at the left... Davis and Wharff.  Plus the oldest Iadiccico making the cameo.  

The first part of racing boats is putting the boat in the water... as you can see it takes eight people. 

Here we go.  This was the up and coming four right here.  Sam.. Sean.. Aaron, and Brett.  Watch out Parkersburg. 

I loved my aviators. I didn't care if we were in the middle of a race... those glasses were on point.    This is Davis Morris, some long hair dude, Aaron, Me and how on earth did that blonde haired guy get in there?  BRAAAAAD.  One time Brad got really mad because my friend Pete shot him in the face with a rolled up nestle bottle... Don't ask... it was a fist fight on the bus. 

BRAAAAAAD. Sean, Aaron and myself along with the coxswain... which I think was BRAAAAD'S girlfriend at the time... You had to be there.  

I'll never forget this.. It was... dang I forgot... somewhere in Columbus. 

Here we go.. racing our hearts out.. Coxswain yelling her heart out while the four man raced to the finish during the Classic in Marietta. 

It is a great sport.  It's difficult, intense and fun.  Racing boats was the best part of high school. And by the way... Chad can say what he wants!!!!!!! This sport was a blast.
