The first day of school in the Owensboro City and Daviess County Public School Systems (and many others) is Wednesday, August 9th. There's no doubt that's going to be a stressful morning for moms and dads around the Tristate. After all, it's been a couple of months since they've had to get the kids up and at it and out the door to class.

Recognizing that next Wednesday has the makings of a virtual nightmare scenario for some local moms, Brasher's Lil' Nashville is doing something about it. They're hosting a fun Moms and Mimosas event that gets underway right around the time the school bell rings.

Moms and Mimosas will get underway at 8am at Brasher's Lil' Nashville in downtown Owensboro. The event will feature donuts, coffee, a little peer therapy and, of course, mimosas.

As Brasher's shared on their official Facebook page- Drop those kids off and head to BLN for a celebration (or comfort).

And, as Tamarra Miller (Brasher's co-owner) says, "There's no cover charge of proof that you have kids in school required."

There will be drink specials, giveaways and line dancing. The theme for August's event will be Grannies Gone Wild!
