Moon Talks with George Jones
George Jones' funeral was laid to rest yesterday after a nearly three-hour service. I continue with some special audio clips from an interview I did with George in 1991, maybe 1992. It was on an internationally syndicated show broadcast from Nashville. These include how hard Nancy (pictured with George) works him, Georgette - his daughter with Tammy Wynette, a call from the late Shirley Collie Nelson - Willie Nelson's former wife, his longevity in the business and finally, ironically what he would have on his headstone. Personally I have enjoyed putting these together. It brought back some nice memories. On the last cut, George talks about how he hopes we can get together again. Even though I spoke with Nancy and George once or twice later I never saw them again.
