Kassidy Cobb, a sixth grader at Muhlenberg County was awarded a check for $1000.00 from Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes on Tuesday. Kassidy took first place place in Grimes’ office’s annual slogan contest. Her slogan was “Make a choice. Use your voice. VOTE!” . An online poll determined the outcome.

Grimes presented Cobb’s award at the Civic Health Initiative roundtable event at Henderson Community College, congratulating Cobb on her achievement and thanking her for helping spread the important message that every Kentuckian’s voice matters.Grimes said:

"Kentucky is at its best when everyone’s voice is heard. It’s great to have students like Kassidy encouraging people to participate in the process".
