On July 20th, Pam Williams' life turned upside down. She lost everything except the pajamas she was wearing when her home caught fire due to faulty wiring.  Her neighbor saw the flames roaring while sitting on his porch that night and ran over to pull her out of bed. Tragically, when they tried to re-enter to save Kim's two dogs, they couldn't get the door to open. Moments later, the entire trailer collapsed.
Having worked and saved her whole life for the land and trailer she was in, Pam is also a breast cancer survivor. She gave all she had to care for her two beloved pets. They helped her through her darkest days and even inspired her in her journey to sobriety. They were her whole world.

While nothing can bring them back or fill the void they left, Pam is needing help to get back on her feet.  That is why family friend, Ashley Stewart has planned a great event to raise money for her to find a new place and start over. "Pam has been close to our family my whole life, and helped raise me and my sisters," Ashley said.
On Sunday, August 13th from 2-7 pm at Christ Community Church, she is hosting a Music and Vendor Market fundraiser for Pam.  With a variety of locally owned businesses setting up booths in the church parking lot and fellowship hall, Raffles, and live music, it is sure to be a great time for an even greater cause.

The Barrows will be playing from 2-4 pm. From Owensboro, they play anything from 70s rock, 90s alternative, and early 2000s country. Two fellas with guitars, but they have a big ole beautiful sound.

Headling the event is the local bluegrass band, Kentucky Shine. Now, these guys are LEGIT. Described as "a hard-driving, modern bluegrass enriched by the lonesome and traditional sounds that fill the hills and hollers surrounding their home." I always love seeing them perform, and you can too at 4:30 PM.
Vendors include Dunn Sweetly freeze-dried candy, Kora V stained glass, Cheyann's boutique, Flo's custom pieces and so much more!

I have personally enjoyed many of her treats and they are delicious! Kids of all ages will enjoy the Kona ice truck and face painting by the Corporate Hippie.

Ashley shared with me what inspired her to plan this fundraiser for Pam, "I cannot imagine her pain of losing everything she owned along with both dogs and I know nothing will replace those sweet babies of hers, but we are asking to please donate even a dollar so we can help her get back on her feet after she has lost everything she's worked for..."
