New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's hope to ban oversized sugary drinks has been hit with a road block. New York Supreme Court Judge Milton Tingling made the ruling one day before the ban was set to go into effect, i.e. Tuesday. While obesity is certainly a serious issue in the US, Judge Tingling also said it would be impossible to fully enforce the ban in the city, and we all know NYC has a massive population. Imagine enforcing a ban like this all over the country. You kind have to wonder where to draw the line. The NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, which by the way, is a hilarious show, recently spoofed the soda ban controversy and as you'll see, the soda cup sizes are ridiculous.

Mayor Bloomberg's office plans to appeal the judge's ruling "as soon as possible".
