OPD Reports Fatal Accident Early Friday Morning

On Friday, November 14, 2014, at approximately 5:20 a.m., the Owensboro Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of E. 26th Street and Winding Way.
Upon arrival, officers observed a white pickup truck at rest on its roof in the backyard of a home with an E. Victory Drive address. The vehicle had collided with an outbuilding as it came to rest. Officers observed a deceased male lying nearby who is suspected of being ejected from the vehicle.
This accident is currently under investigation by OPD accident reconstruction investigators and detectives.
