Owensboro Parks and Recreation Dept. Memorial Day Half Marathon

With warmer weather hopefully on the way, the time for races and marathons is also approaching!

The Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department has announced their 4^th annual Owensboro Memorial Day Half Marathon. The race will be held on Monday, May 27^th.

Registrations will be accepted until May 25^th, with the entry fee being $50 per person before May 6^th and $60 per person from May 7^th-25^th. The registration fee includes entry in the race, event tech-shirt, breakfast after the race, finisher’s medal, and eligibility for door prizes. Participants must pre-register and can do so by calling the Parks and Recreation department at 687-8700 or by clicking here.

The race will begin at Kentucky Wesleyan College and circle around the city on a 13.1-mile route, ending back at Kentucky Wesleyan College. The race will start at 7am. You can check out the course here.

Citizens not participating in the race are also encouraged to check out the race route at the link above. This will give you an idea of where to expect runners if you are out driving that morning.
