Last summer this precious little 3-year old boy, Caleb Alan Rickard,  accidentally drowned in Bremen. Instead of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to build a playground in Caleb's honor.  A year later, after an outpouring of $13,000.00, the project is completed. Tomorrow night, Caleb's birthday, the family is having a playground dedication and potluck dinner at Neals Chapel Church, 6830 Highway 81 in Sacramento.

According to Susan Smith, "This is also Caleb's birthday. There will be a short dedication in the
fellowship hall, dinner and a balloon release. We would like to invite friends
and everyone who helped or made donations. If you had anything to do with the
funding or construction of Caleb's playground we would love for you to join us".

Susan Smith told WBKR, "Caleb was a precious outgoing little boy. He was the dare devil in the bunch. He would try anything he was allowed to. He loved swimming and farming with his papaw. He was a typical boy. He loved tractors. Caleb's playground wil be enjoyed for many years to come".
