Popular Western Kentucky Jewelry Store Moving to New Location

A popular jewelry retailer in Owensboro is making a move. Lodan Jewelry Design Studio will be closing its doors, at the current location, from July 3rd through July 21st, 2023.

My friend Tommy Rhinerson has been in the jewelry business most of his life. He started as a young boy working for his dad at Tucker Jewelers in Owensboro. The jewelry store opened in 1976 when Tommy was just eight. Jewelry is all he's ever known and he has perfected his craft throughout the years. He is one of just a handful of traditional jewelers left in the area.

LODAN JEWELRY DESIGN STUDIO IS MOVING

Lodan Jewelry Design Studio opened in its current location in 2006. Although the place has endured much success, it's too big for what Tommy needs. He wants to downsize to focus on two things. One is his family. The Rhinersons have a new grandbaby on the way. They'll be first-time grandparents, so it's an important time. Tommy also mentioned a focus shift within the jewelry store. He wants to focus more on the custom jewelry business. The new 1,400-square-foot storefront is set to open at 229 Williamsburg Square next to Owensboro Christian Church.

Lodan Jewelry Design Studio will be closing its doors, at the current location, from July 3rd through July 21st, 2023. They'll reopen in the new location on July 24th, 2023. When I talked to Tommy this morning, you could hear the excitement in his voice. He's ready for the changes.

He took to social media to make the big announcement over the weekend.

"We are excited to announce we are moving to a new location!!! Lodan Jewelry Design Studio will be closed July 3 - 21 to move to our new location at 229 Williamsburg Square next to Owensboro Christian Church. We will reopen in the new location on July 24!! We will still offer all of the same services; custom design, in-house repairs, and more. Can't wait to show off our new store!!"

I've known Tommy and the Rhinerson family for over 20 years, and I'm so happy about their success! And, the success to come at their brand new location.
