While everyone, and understandably, were flooding my Facebook news feed with "Kentucky 31-0 Not Done" posts on Saturday, they may not realize another team, a women's team in the NCAA is also celebrating an undefeated season.

As of this writing, the Princeton Lady Tigers' record stands at 29-0, including clinching the Ivy League regular conference title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Granted, they do have one more regular season game Tuesday night, but I believe they will get that 30th win. At one point this season, there were two undefeated Women's teams, the other being South Carolina, but their perfect record was dismantled February 9th at Connecticut, who was the last team to amass not one, but two consecutive perfect seasons (2008-2010). And this year, UConn is still a force to be reckoned with, only losing one game, in overtime, to Stanford, another long-standing women's power house.

Princeton is undefeated, yet they are only ranked 13th. Why? Well, their non-conference schedule wasn't very strong. Heck, Kentucky's women's team is ranked higher than Princeton with 9 losses. The women's game can tend to be more lopsided in terms of the traditionally strong teams, among them, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Duke (where Owensboro Catholic alum Becca Greenwell is having an outstanding season), Baylor, and, yes, Louisville obliterating opponents. And just a brief mention, the Western Kentucky Lady Toppers are having one of their best seasons in years, already clinching the C-USA regular season title, and having a good chance at winning their conference tournament.

FYI, number 15 in the photo above? That's Freshman Forward Leslie Robinson, niece of First Lady Michelle Obama. Also, all of Princeton's victories, except two, have been won by double digits.

Bring on the Madness!
