Rolling Pin Pastry Shop, one of the most popular spots in Owensboro, Kentucky is now being celebrated and immortalized as a Christmas ornament.

Rolling Pin has a long history here in town. Here's a look back at how the bakery was founded and how it ended up where it is today- at the corner of 18th and Hall Streets- where it has resided since I was a child.

The bakery, which has served Owensboro now for over 70 years, has been family-owned and operated for three generations. There's no doubt that it is a staple of this town.

That's precisely what inspired Imagination Library of Daviess County to choose Rolling Pin as its 2023 Christmas ornament.

See, years ago as a fundraiser, Imagination Library commissioned the creation of ornaments that celebrate some of Owensboro's most iconic locations. Each year, they unveil a new addition to the collection. This year, they're celebrating Rolling Pin's incredible (and delicious) heritage here in town.

Just a couple of days ago, Crazy Me Gifts & Apparel shared a photo of the ornament and the accompanying card the shares some info about Rolling Pin's enduring legacy!

By the way, Crazy Me is one of the locations in town where you can purchase the ornament.

Plus, here's a sample of some other ornaments available in the collection, which began back in 2004 with an ornament commemorating Old Smothers Park.
