Is this a joke?  A big old nasty, slushy, snowy, cosmic joke?  The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the extreme northern parts of the tri-state and a Winter Weather Advisory for areas along the Ohio River.  The reason . . . Winter Storm Virgil.  That's the name The Weather Channel gave him, though I have a few other choice names we could christen him with!!  So how much snow can we expect? * TIMING...RAIN WILL CHANGE OVER TO SNOW AND BEGIN ACCUMULATING
  OVER SOUTHWEST INDIANA AND NORTHWEST KENTUCKY LATER TODAY AND
  THIS EVENING.

* MAIN IMPACT...ONE TO THREE INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE TODAY
  AND TONIGHT GENERALLY NORTH OF A MORGANFIELD TO CALHOUN KENTUCKY
  LINE. THOUGH MUCH OF THE SLUSHY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE
  LIMITED TO GRASSY AND ELEVATED SURFACES...SOME TRAVEL PROBLEMS
  MAY DEVELOP...ESPECIALLY ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.

* OTHER IMPACTS...LIGHT SNOWS MAY CONTINUE OFF AND ON TONIGHT
