KWC Hosting A Bone Marrow Registry Drive In Honor Of Owensboro Native
February 28, 2013 Chris Herrell is 39 years old and has been married to his wife Laurie for 15 years. Chris is an Owensboro High School and Kentucky Wesleyan College graduate. He and his wife have three young children. Chris works for the Cincinnati Reds and was recently diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a rare form of blood cancer.
His only cure is a bone marrow transplant. Presently, no donors in the bone marrow registry match Chris. A match must be found to save his life.
KWC is hosting a bone marrow registry drive in honor of Chris Thursday, February 28th and Saturday, March 2nd.
