You know, for the last three years all the construction downtown keeps the BBQ Fest folks hoppin' to find where to place everyone. Best thing to do is just head downtown and just wander airmlessly, which I do all the time!! There will be food, music, crafts, classic cars and carnival rides. WBKR will be there, too. It is hard to believe it's time for Owensboro's famous International Barbecue Festival. A week from Friday it opens and all the great barbecue aromas and thick, blinding smoke will waft through downtown. WBKR will be broadcasting from the event on both days. My favorite year was 2009. I was joined on the air by Kizzy and on the streets by lovely Mrs. Moon.
Chad was out at the International BBQ Festival taking in the sights and sampling some food. Chad stops by the Precious Blood BBQ Cooking Team's booth and the Little Ones Mobile Kitchen for a sampling of their Deep Fried Ding Dongs!
In this second installment of Chad's tour of the International BBQ Festival, Chad stopped by the Daymar College area for a massage then stopped by to see Solveda, one of his friends to try on one her custom dog collars then stopped Bee Bops!
