July 23, 2012 Over the weekend, my family and I took advantage of some awesome weather to investigate a little family history in Louisville. One of our stops was Cave Hill Cemetery.

Okay, in a previous post, I lamented about my worry and my panic over filling out my various NCAA brackets. However, I decided to throw all caution to the wind and take a risk by filling out my WBKR pool bracket as fast as I could.

December 2, 2011 From time to time, I'll run across these lists that, I have to admit, I find very interesting. The topics are of a wide variety. It's always something like "The 10 (fill in the blank)-est Cities in America." Also, from time to time, the subjects are kind of a downer. Like this one--"The 10 Saddest Cities in America." And what do you know? Three of them are within a day's driving distance, and one is in our own backyard.

August 22, 2011 Last Thursday, I continued one of my favorite annual WBKR traditions! I headed up to Louisville to broadcast live, all day, from opening day at the Kentucky State Fair! This year, I was able to do things I have never done at the fair before and it was all caught on camera! YES!! I got to feed a rabbit chocolate Chex Mix, steal a sash from a beauty queen and learn how to milk a goat named Peace! It was a fun-filled day and I loved every minute of it! May 9, 2011 As you guys know, The Kentucky State Fair has an amazing line-up of entertainment scheduled for this year's event! The shows inside Freedom Hall feature Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Def Leppard with Heart, and Train and Maroon 5! And now, the folks at the fair have announced the line-up of FREE concerts at Cardinal Stadium! And, like usual, that line-up is COUNTRY STRONG!
March 8, 2011 Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson have the #1 song in the land with DON'T YOU WANNA STAY. And, his summer tour includes Louisville, Aug. 20th. Sounds like that's the fair. Bet we'll have tickets!
