We were listening to and watching the Eyewitness News severe weather coverage. It got windy, and then, very suddenly, horizontal rain and hail blasted the WBKR parking lot. Steve Horn's pickup truck moved sideways about 6 to 8 inches and filled up with ice pellets. We're thinking if it wasn't a tornado, it was darn close. We hit the center room and then it had moved off into the eastern part of the county. It's not over, though. At this writing, many counties in the coverage area are still under a tornado warning. Moon and Chad drove around town but couldn't report any damage, which we consider good news. A tree did fall across Highway 54 between Owensboro and Whitesville, and we had reports of power lines down in the 54 Wal-mart area. Otherwise, the Sonic and Century 21 signs are the only signs of a massive storm we have, to this point. Key phrase: TO THIS POINT. Stay tuned...
