During September’s Childhood Cancer Awareness month, the Thumbs Up for Lane Goodwin Foundation is sponsoring Tri-State Goes Gold for Kids Fall Festival. Last years event was held by friends of the Goodwin’s to help with Lane’s medical bills. This year’s event will support the mission of the LGF to help fund research and assist families with a child fighting cancer.

The event will be held TODAY, Saturday, September 21st starting at  10:00 a.m. at the Henderson County Fairgrounds, 5672 Airline Rd. The festival will include a variety of activities including food booths, children’s activities, concerts and live auction. Performing on stage will be me, Jaclyn Graves (with help from my buddy Drew Aud) from 11:00am - 12:30pm and Tim Ash in the afternoon.

There will be a meet and greet with St. Louis Cardinals pitcher, Jason Motte, starting at 10:30 a.m. for a fee of $20 per adult or $10 for K-12. Children five years old and under will be free. There will be a limit of 1 autographed item per person. There will also be a free signing for any child that is fighting or has fought cancer and their immediately family from 10:00 a.m-10: 30 a.m. The Fall Festival live auction will include a dinner for up to four people with Jason Motte and the Goodwin family for the evening of September 21.

There will be a Poker Run, starting at 9:30 a.m. CDT, the cost is $15 per rider or $20 per couple, which includes a meal. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the first bike out at 9:30 a.m. and last bike out at 11 a.m. The ride will last will be 80-100 miles.

There will be a Cornhole Tournament, starting at 9:30 a.m., CDT, the cost is $50 per team. Registration will take place from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m.
