I spent half the 80's at Western Kentucky University. And even then, as a naive kid, I got how cool that campus was...despite that half-mile walk up the hill everyday.

It really is a beautiful campus, one that might beg for a helicopter ride around it.

Hey, that's actually a really good idea.

But I digress.

That imposing hill that always threatened the "freshman 15"--you know, that 15 pounds you're supposed to gain in your first year of college--is unique.

Over the years, it has afforded contractors and builders the opportunity to get creative in where they put buildings and how they construct them.

Even now, when I'm in Bowling Green, I still like to drive through the campus.

So, it came as no surprise when I discovered a list by bestcollegesonline.org of the 30 most beautiful campuses in America.

I was surprised, however, that Indiana University didn't make the cut. IU has a classic, ivy-laden campus with these terrific, architecturally classic-looking education buildings that really define, for me, what you think of when you think of a college campus.

Oh well. Click that link I gave you and find out where Western landed on the list...and check out some of those other ones, too...

...like Covenant College in Georgia.

Wow!
