THE GRINCH AND FRIENDS STORYTELLING ADVENTURES!

Celebrate the 60th Birthday of The Grinch and The Cat in the Hat with regional storyteller Susan Fowler! Susan will share stories, songs, simple crafts and everyone can make a stocking to take home! Frosty, Scrooge and Rudolph may make a special appearance as well!
H.O.P. (Healthy Owensboro Program) VISITS HISTORY!
@ 2:00 p.m.
Come for a H.O.P. program about our region’s Native Americans and what they ate during the cold winter months! Visitors will explore the foods, customs and stories of “The Three Sisters” and have a chance to learn about healthy eating habits at the same time! We’ll gather around the Portable Demo Kitchen and discover the value of eating corn, beans and squash! Everyone can try some of the food we prepare and take home activity and recipe cards! This program is supported by Owensboro Health and the Junior League of Owensboro.

WINTER WONDERLAND WITH BIRDS & VISIT WITH A LIVE OWL

Winter is the perfect time to enjoy birds in your yard or in the woods. Members of the Daviess County Audubon Society will lead a fun session about birds who may be visiting your backyard feeder. Patrons will make a bird feeder, using sunflower butter, to take home and everyone will meet live birds of prey from the Nuture to Nature Rehabilitation Center!
H.O.P. (Healthy Owensboro Program) VISITS THE WORLD OF DRIED FRUITS!

Come for a H.O.P. program about dried fruits and how our ancestors stored food during the winter months. Gather around the Portable Demo Kitchen explore a bit of history while learning about the vitamins and nutrition of various dried fruits. Everyone can try some different dried fruit snacks and take home activity and recipe cards! This program is supported by Owensboro Health and the Junior League of Owensboro.

Step into the Museum’s portable planetarium STARLAB to explore the December nighttime sky and discuss the Winter Solstice!

MAGIC SHOW WITH MATT GRISHAM

Magician Matt Grisham an eight time national award winning comedy magician. His show features an unmatched interactive comedy style that is great for the family. After the show he will follow up with a Magic Class: "Have you ever wanted to be a magician?"

LIVE SNAKE TALK
@ 2:00 p.m.
Come for an up close and personal visit with our resident corn snake Ochy, to discuss how snakes live, eat and interact with the world around them. Patrons will have a chance to touch Ochy and make photographs.
