Light snow may produce a dusting across southeast Missouri into and north of the advisory area across western Kentucky and Southwest Illinois late this afternoon into early this evening.

Light accumulations, generally an inch or less, are possible through the early evening hours. This will occur on roadways where temperatures remain below freezing. Be cautious if traveling late today into this evening as this will create slick spots on area roadways.

All of the weather is due to an area of low pressure moving northeast across the southeast United States through the evening hours. This system will continue to spread light precipitation northward from Arkansas and Tennessee into our area.

A winter storm warning has been posted for Todd County, Kentucky, and a winter weather advisory has been posted for much of the remainder of southwest Kentucky, especially those counties adjacent to the Tennessee border, through the evening hours. Travel from after school or work activities in southern Kentucky and elsewhere across the quad state could be slick and hazardous in some locales.
