A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for parts of the the WBKR listening area and major snowfall amounts are expected in southeast portions of the tristate.  Take a look!

At this point, forecast models are showing the most significant snowfall amounts in areas southeast of Evansville . . . with Hancock, Ohio County and Butler County included in what could be a major band of snowfall.

And, yes, you're seeing that correctly.  There's a band set to affect Central Kentucky and it could produce over a foot of snow in areas along the Western Kentucky and Natcher Parkways.

At this time a Winter Storm Warning is in effect for those areas and a Winter Storm Watch remains in effect for Daviess County and areas southwest of Evansville.  The National Weather Service is monitoring the developing snowfall event closely and we will keep you updated throughout the day at WBKR and WBKR.com.
